The use of C language is avoided in FreeBSD development?

Hi,

That would seem to rather difficult considering the fact that the entire OS is written in it. If you want to hack on FreeBSD, you should learn and use C. If you're new to programming in general, you should also learn C. Your code will thank you for it regardless of the language(s) you ultimately end up using. Another added bonus is that you won't spend the rest of your days trying to justify the fact that you didn't learn it ;)

Thanks,
-G

The use of C language is avoided in FreeBSD development? I ask this because second Eric Raymond in 'How To Become A Hacker', actually, the more you can avoid programming in C the more productive you will be.
