Nautilus 2.24.0 doesn't update folder contents

You won't see updates if the directory is a symlink.  Gamin does not
follow symlinks.  So, if ~/Desktop points to /space/marcus/Desktop,
updates outside of Nautilus will not show up unless you refresh.
