workspace switcher issue

After upgrading to Gnome 2.20.1 with no compile problems (Thanks to every
who made it possible!), I've got one small problem.  The workspace switcher
(v 2.20.1 according to the about dialog), refuses to do more than one row.
It kept the proper number of workspaces (6), but only has a single row
instead of the 2 rows that I prefer.

Has anyone else seen this?
