gnome-session-save loses gnome-terminals

Since the upgrade to Gnome 2.20, I am unable to save a session with any
gnome-terminals.
I set them all up as I desire and execute 'gnome-session-save. All of my
gnome-terminal windows instantly terminate. I assume the
gnome-session-save is triggering the exit of the gnome-terminal process.
The saved session has no gnome-terminals and my new session starts with
everything empty.
Have others seen this? It is certainly very annoying.
For the record, I am running 7-BETA1 on a i386 system. All ports are up
to date EXCEPT evolution-exchange and muine. (These result from another
problem that I still have to research.)
