Just add a bit more details. FreeBSD 7.x/8.x have GCC 4.2.1 by default.
The pointyhat can build libgtop with GCC 4.2.1, see
http://pointyhat.freebsd.org/errorlogs/i386-7-latest-logs/libgtop-2.20.0.log
..

In your PRs show that you have FreeBSD 6.2-STABLE, so I am wondering if
you are using GCC 4.2 from ports and try to build all ports with it?

Cheers,
Mezz
