FreeBSD Port: www/epiphany

Hi,
 
When i try to install gnome2 (portinstall x11/gnome2) on sparc64
compiling stops with epiphany with the following message:
 
configure: error: Gecko version 1.7 is not supported!
 
I use FreeBSD 6.1 on a sparc ultra 10 
 
 
Can i build gnome without epiphany? (i use FireFox) or can i install
gecko 1.8 and wil that solve my problem
