The interesting feature in Ekiga that GnomeMeeting did not have is
support for the SIP protocol, that means you can use ekiga to make
calls over asterisk. So I won't be the only person interested,
because Open-Source PABX is a hot topic.

This is a misunderstanding: I think ekiga belongs to Gnome, that's
the point. Now, deciding who is the maintainer does not really
matter. I don't feel embarrassed to maintain yet another port.
Let's see what kwm thinks of it.
