Is Gnome 2.12 worth the hassle?

Sorry for bombarding you with so many questions, but I am new to this game.

By 'Devel FAQ URL' I assume you mean
http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/develfaq.html, right?

and then I should follow the instructions at
http://www.marcuscom.com:8080/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/, right?

But I see everywhere that this is the so-called development version, whereas
I am only interested in the one-shot 2.12 version -- which I assume is
ready, will not change, and thus does not require resyncing to the tinderbox
with cvs.

Wrong?

Thanks in advance for your time and patience Joe.
