Cannot build portupgrade

While upgrading to 2.12 via the script the process fails at stage 2 when
trying to upgrade sysutils/portupgrade. It is failing to fetch
pkgtools-20051204.tar.bz2. Two sources are listed for this file,
http://dists.lovepeers.org and ftp://ftp.iDaemons.prg. The first seems to
be dead, and the second always times out. I poked around in ftp.freebsd.org
but only found the previous release, 20041224, which I have. I sent mail to
the port maintainer, but the address is koma2 at lovepeers.org, and that
servers appears to be down.

I am running 5.4-RELEASE.

Am I doing something stupid again? :-) Is there a work-around?
