It's fixed in the MarcusCom CVS repo
(http://www.marcuscom.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/ports).  That's where we do
our GNOME devel work.  GNOME 2.8 is right around the corner, and when it
gets released, gnomevfs2+https will be available.

If you give me something to test, I can make sure it works for you.
