gnome_upgrade.sh failed in Stage 2 (external GNOME dependencies)

Hi,

Just tried to upgrade gnome 2.4 -> 2.6 on a system running FreeBSD 4.9
(the system is 4.9 cvsup-ed, built and installed "world" and "kernel"
as of today with "uname" now giving "4.10-Beta")

In order to upgrade Gnome from 2.4->2.6 after cvsup-ing the ports I
used "gnome_upgrade.sh" as per the upgrade-instructions.

However the script died during stage 2 of 5 with the following error:

------------------------------ < Cut here > ------------------------------

>>>>> STAGE 2 of 5: Updating any out-of-date GNOME dependencies.

The output of the failed portupgrade can be found in
/var/tmp/gnome_upgrade_log.D7UqAE. If you require additional help, please
compress /var/tmp/gnome_upgrade_log.D7UqAE, and send it to
freebsd-gnome at FreeBSD.org.

So what should I do?

Run "portupgrade -ar" in order to completely upgrade the system? (This
however is explicitly discouraged as per /usr/ports/UPDATING...)

Please note that I've upgraded another 4.9 system a couple of days ago
with the gnome upgrade running absolutely smooth.

As indicated in the error message above I'm attaching the compressed
(.gz) logfile.

Thanks much in advance for any clue,
-ewald
