gnucash 1.8 crashing on startup

Don't know if I sent in this before, but I built gnucash 1.8 from the 
ports collection (after updating my ports collection with cvsup), and 
gnucash now crashes when it starts up. Doesn't even display a window.

Any clues as to why?
