you mean like the problem that i have now a longer time with gnumeric?:

but this problem i have since my gnome-2.2/pango-1.2.2 days (if not
longer...?) and _only_ with gnumeric. i always hoped with the latest
version of gnumeric that's solved.
but i think this thread is - at long last - a good reason to ask :-)
