Sawfish 2 & Gnome terminal

Hey guys, i've just entountered 2 problems, i'm wondering if anyone can help
me out here.

1:
gnome-terminal doesn't display certain fonts, just leaves the screen blank
(irrelevant of the background used) (ie. sans) & if i use a font such as
time the terminal is roughly the width of 3 desktopi (abnormaly wide)

Stop in /usr/ports/x11-wm/sawfish2.

I've found no info on the library and it does not seem to be on my system
either.  I use portupgrade to keep my system up to date.
