Thought it might be useful for you to see just what the user "stacey"'s
home dir looks like in terms of (what I believe to be all) Gnome bits:

My hope is that you can at least let me know if there's anything there
that you *not* have expected to see / see in that form., that might be
part of the current problem domain.
