BTW: You missed 'base'.. let's try this:

*default host=cvsup.ca.FreeBSD.org
*default base=/usr
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs tag=.
*default delete use-rel-suffix
*default compress
ports-all

It would be nice if you check in the handbook and example files again.
