git fetch --all from cgit-beta.freebsd.org stopped working

Hmm, I had to fix some excessive loose objects that tripped up the auto 
gc runs, but I thought the warning message during git push was just 
that, a warning, not an error.

IOW, it was probably my fault somehow ...
