Hmpf, that's why seek= was mentioned...

So, any hints on how to recover the first 512 bytes for me?

Btw, I just repeated it with the seek= and it worked!

Now I've just to restore the mbr 

   a) is there somewhere a copy in memory?
   B) redoing it shouldn't be a big problem, as the layout was written
   down :-)
