SYNCHRONIZING is a flag only, not a state, it doesn't mean it is beeing
synchronized, but that it needs synchronization.

Hmm, 'gmirror rebuild root ad4s1a' should work. I'll change it to accept
components with /dev/ also.
BTW. Are you sure you don't want to use autosynchronization?
