Review for supporting ccache on gecko ports

Hi!

There is  an old idle easy review that would allow ccache to work with
gecko ports: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D14154

It would be great if we could commit it, but no gecko committer gave
his approval yet. Could anybody take a look at it please?

Once approved, I can commit it now: I have recently been awarded
a commit bit under gerald@'s mentorship. I would commit it with the
following commit message:
