Thanks to everyone who participated in the meeting on Tuesday. The meeting
notes have been updated and the video is posted:

This month's meeting featured a substantial discussion about the goals and
merits of the OpenZFS umbrella project and its relationship with the
illumos, FreeBSD, and ZFSonLinux projects. I'm glad to have the
opportunity to help everyone understand the goals of each of these
projects. These goals are largely aligned: we all want ZFS to be high
quality storage software that works well and similarly on lots of operating
systems. The leaders in all of the operating-system-specific communities
come from similar backgrounds of engineering rigor and agree that code
changes should be undertaken deliberately, with evidence of sufficient
testing, and with consideration of the impact on other operating systems.
I'm happy to continue this discussion individually, or on the
developer at open-zfs.org mailing list.

The next meeting will be January 8, 1pm-2pm pacific time. We have several
agenda items that we weren't able to get to this month (or last month!), so
at the January meeting I'll be keeping us strictly to the agenda. If there
are topics you'd like to discuss, please add them to the agenda.
