You can't do an in-place conversion of UFS to ZFS - you'll need to dump
your UFS somewhere, build a ZFS root and restore the backup.  Note that
restore(8) is completely userland so you can use dump/restore.

If your used space is small enough, you might be able to use the swap
partition to store the backup.
