Built and installed the patched kernel this morning. I was able to do the npm
install that was failing before, and copies/moves between ZFS and UFS seem to
be going just fine.

While I don't feel qualified to provide a review on that diff, please let me
know if it would be useful. I'll be happy to get myself versed on this stuff.
