The third annual OpenZFS Developer Summit will be held in San Francisco,
October 19 - 20, 2015. All OpenZFS developers are invited to participate.
See http://www.open-zfs.org/wiki/OpenZFS_Developer_Summit for all of the
details, including slides and videos from previous years' conferences.
The goal of the event is to foster cross-community discussions of OpenZFS
work and to make progress on some of the projects we have proposed.
Registration will open in a few months, and there will be a $50
registration fee.
Like last year, the first day will be set aside for presentations. *If you
want to give a talk, submit a proposal via email to admin at open-zfs.org
<admin at open-zfs.org>, including a 1-2 paragraph abstract.* I (Matt) will
review all of the submissions and select talks that will be most
interesting for the audience. The registration fee will be waived for
speakers.
The deadlines are as follows:
Aug 31, 2015 All abstracts/proposals submitted to admin at open-zfs.org
Sept 14, 2015 Proposal submitters notified
Oct 12, 2015 Agenda finalized
October 19-20, 2015 OpenZFS Developer Summit
The second day of the event will be a hackathon, where you will have the
opportunity to work with OpenZFS developers that you might not normally sit
next to, with the goal of having something, no matter how insignificant, to
demo at the end of the day. Please add your hackathon ideas to the summit
wiki page.
This event is only possible because of the efforts and contributions of the
community of developers and companies that sponsor the event. Special
thanks to our Beer Bash, Platinum, and Gold sponsors: ClusterHQ
