Thanks for the hint -- we're not using that option, good to know!  It
must be fairly new.

Do you have any ideas about the deadlock?  We saw much better
performance on v28, so we're keen to put it into production, and that
was the only deal-breaking issue we saw with it.

If there's anything I can do to help track it down, let me know.
