Simple question: 8 devices in a raidz2 or 4 devices in a raidz x 2 Same net storage, but, if my understanding of raidz is correct, higher throughput on the raidz x 2, and obviously higher MTTDL for the raidz2. Maybe throw in a hot spare and what do you think? Pros and cons anyone?
