FWIW, the HFS port was made when the current license was APSL 1.1, version 2.0
was created to comply with Stallman's interpretation of what "Free software"
is:

    http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/apsl.html

the changes are rather good though, plus it's not "copyleft" which is even
better.
