Unionfs and nullfs question

I use nfs to 'replace' nullfs for viewing the lower file system of 
unionfs's ... I find that, under load, I get *alot* of timeouts of the nfs 
mounts, with 4 nfsd's running ... something you might want to watch out 
for ...
