problem building suitesparse

Hello:
	On a system running:

FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT #0 r331659: Thu Mar 29 12:31:36 EDT 2018 amd64

	when I try to upgrade to the latest version everything goes
fine until:

	I have no idea what might be causing this; the "config" phase
looks OK.  Full build log is available on request.
