This had been moved to 237472 as 233301, which was really opened for a
related, but different issue and drifted to the sound one has been closed
as "fixed" as the initial problem was corrected.

I have just called "maintainer timeout" on this to allow any maintainer to
commit as it's been awaiting approval for 20 days. (Wish I had noticed the
new ticket earlier as the '?' flag had not been set to start the timeout
clock until Aug. 1.)
