I just built VirtualBox 5.2.6 after removing
files/patch-src_VBox_VMM_VMMR3_CPUMR3CpuId.cpp.

I was able to start CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 12 guests.

It looks like the problem is fixed upstream and we no longer require the patch.
