Thanks, I've just tried it on 7-CURRENT under VMWare Server on Windows.
Here's what I see:

- No kernel modules at all for FreeBSD
- The VMWare console displays a message "Your version of VMWare tools is
out of date"
- The "vmware-user" client program for X11 (enabling "intelligent" mouse
focus and copy/paste to/from the VM) works. Don't know how to copy files
to/from the machine (or whether this works at all)
- The "toolbox" client program works partially: time sync works, the
devices tab doesn't show virtual SCSI devices, scripts don't seem to
work, "shrinking" doesn't work

So far, the tools don't seem very useful. The VM without kernel modules
is as slow as ever.
