How long was that jump? Can you say exactly from which version to
which version did you upgrade?
Did you upgrade your ports as well?

Please run
# ktrace -i <maple_application>
locate ktrace.out somewhere on http:// or ftp:// and give me a link.

$ uname -a

Which version of mathlab do you use?
Which linux port version do you use?
