vmware on CD

I got VMare on CD and want install it. It offers various installation 
methods

    1.    with a vmware-install.pl package
    2.    RPM installion
    3.    Tar file installation

Which one will be handle by the ports MAKEFILE? What do I have to modify 
in the MAKEFILE and probably some other files?
