Intel X520 82599 10 Gigabit AF Network Connection Support

Our company is bit stringent in terms of selecting hardware for selection for critical infrastructure.

Do you know if there was a possibility of updating the list with the inclusion on controller 82599?

As I remmember the driver for 82598 and 82599 is the same driver.
I'm using 82599 since Fbsd 8.1.

What does it take to add the X520 Intel 82599 controller to the supported list?

We are building a pfsense server and wanted to use x520 Intel 82599 card.
