I began working on a new chapter for the kernel and world builds,
as an effort to merge the chapters, keep the information together,
update the current stuff, and throw in as many experiences I've
had under different configurations. This work was paused when
Joel noted he was concerned I was going to remove the GENERIC
configuration. Since he specifically noted the yearn to keep it
up to date, I dropped the extra work from my list.

Perhaps there is an interest in this?
