NAT in FreeBSD

Hello,

I'm looking at this document on NAT

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-natd.html

And all it mentions is natd. Since natd support is not available
without a kernel recompile, I'm looking for NAT options that are
available out of the box. Silly to have to rebuild in this day and age
just to use NAT.

IPF seems to have its own NAT functionality built-in. But, when one is
searching the handbook for NAT, the only overt reference is the page
mentioned. I don't know about anyone else but I found this very
confusing.

Would it be possible to mention in the NAT page that IPF does NAT, PPP
does NAT, etc? Make that page authoritative for NAT in FreeBSD, as it
appears to be?

Thank you,
Mike
