CSS and index.html

It also runs in Epiphany 1.4.6 :)
I've run it through the (X)HTML validator at http://validator.w3.org/
and it passes the test.

This page passes the test too.

The CSS part does not pass the test at http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
as of 2004-12-15 19:00 UTC.  But it otherwise cleans things up a lot, so
you have my vote.
