Hi,
The Oracle 10g installation fails because there are some Linux system calls which aren't implemented in the actual Linux emulation. However, there's hard work in CURRENT to update the Linux emulation...
Oracle 9i will run (if you don't need iSQL*Plus), but if you need absolutely Oracle 10g now, I think the best solution is to install it on a Debian box, and to keep a look on the evolution of the Linux emulation...
