Yes: the machine then boots succesfully:

freebeast(11.0-C)[1] uname -a
FreeBSD freebeast.catwhisker.org 11.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT #2029  r297348M/297348:1100104: Mon Mar 28 04:55:00 PDT 2016     root at freebeast.catwhisker.org:/common/S4/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC  amd64
freebeast(11.0-C)[2]

This was after appending the line:

hw.lapic_tsc_deadline="0"

to /boot/loader.conf.

(I have not -- yet, at least -- tried that with my laptop.)

Peace,
david
