just to ask if anybody else is seeing this on ia64 or amd64?
I'm using /etc/ntp.conf as supplied, no modifications.
Seems to work ok on
i386 r209398
sparc64 r204991M
ia64 r209203
but gives the above error on
amd64 r209229
ia64 r209244
