acd timeouts

Hello,

trying to rip audio from my - especially for this purpose reactivated - 
ATAPI CD-rom results in:

acd0: WARNING - READ_CD read data overrun 2352>0
acd0: WARNING - READ_CD read data overrun 2352>0
acd0: WARNING - READ_CD read data overrun 2352>0
acd0: MODE_SELECT_BIG trying to write on read buffer
acd0: timeout waiting for ATAPI ready
acd0: error issuing ATA PACKET command
acd0: timeout waiting for ATAPI ready
acd0: error issuing ATA PACKET command

System is BETA4, ahci.ko loaded, but this doesn't matter on IDE devices, 
right?
Any hints?
