sorry then I will try again, I just installed the port and tried a
simple command
Ziggy# smartctl -i /dev/ad4s1
smartctl version 5.38 [i386-portbld-freebsd9.0] Copyright (C) 2002-8 Bruce Allen
Home page is http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net/
Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device)
A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or
more '-T permissive' options.
Ziggy# dmesg | grep ad4
ad4: 238475MB <Seagate ST3250820AS 3.AAD> at ata2-master SATA300
GEOM: ad4s1: geometry does not match label (255h,63s != 16h,63s).
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ad4s1a
