The above analogy is invalid as FreeBSD is not an existing reality to be 
discovered, but a construct of the minds and efforts of its community. 
Therefore if the community is satisfied with the license as it is, there 
is no reason to change it.

Obviously I can't speak for the whole community, but speaking as one 
member I would be most unhappy to see stakeholders have influence based 
on monetary/commercial elements - the lack of such is one of the things 
I *like* about FreeBSD.
