thnx for this but I cannot reproduce it locally (I start skype, log in, wait 2 seconds and the file->exit)

I am not running 100% -current but the patches I have are very trivial..

can you test if this patch fixes the problem with coredumping skype? if so.. its up to alexander to commit :)
