Okay, that doesn't mean that you can't try to remove the pull-up
resistor or use a stronger pull-down resistor on the speaker
output pins.  Hopefully the MB has a speaker header.  Grounding the
output of the speaker might work in a pinch.  It needs to be
done during power on and probably reset.
