Using sysctl kern.sched.steal_busy=1 did not change the picture 


1267.20 real      2492.14 user       956.64 sys

    889964  involuntary context switches


The system seems to be a lot more "idle" than I normally see - but I don't have 
a reliable way of measuring the idle time - e.g. I guess I could try with vmstat
but I an not sure its accurate
