Actually, I looked at the documentation for Intel E7501 chipset, and  
it seems like it also has a hardware scrubber: See http:// 
download.intel.com/design/chipsets/datashts/25192702.pdf section 5.8.2.
So, supposedly, other Intel chipsets for servers might also have it.
