ZFS to support chflags?

Usually file based backup software uses exclude patterns - often
possible to setup in .something files.

Why not?
With ZFS I only see the kernel mount list as a possible problem, which
AFAIK doesn't scale very well.
Maybe someone else with more knowledge will comment on this point.
