The Geodes found in both my net4801-50 and net4801-60 are both
i586-class CPUs with CX8 support:

$ dmesg | grep -A 2 ^CPU
CPU: Geode(TM) Integrated Processor by National Semi (266.65-MHz 586-class CPU)
  Origin = "Geode by NSC"  Id = 0x540  Stepping = 0
